Public affairs
The Quiller team is drawn from across the political spectrum. It has many years of inside experience of Whitehall and Westminster at the most senior level, including Downing Street and the Treasury. This gives us a very good understanding of the system and how politicians, civil servants and regulators work and think. We therefore know how our clients can make their case most effectively. Sometimes this is best done in a low-profile way. At other times, the situation will call for a public campaign, where we help clients influence opinion through the media as well as in Parliament. Quiller is a member of the Association of Professional Political Consultants - www.appc.org.uk.
- Case-building. We help our clients think through their arguments and develop key messages that resonate with their audiences.
- Case-making. We help our clients make their case directly to key targets in government and Parliament.
- Campaigning. We help our clients design, plan and execute an effective campaign to communicate their key messages. This may be focused exclusively on decision-makers, or it may address a wider circle of opinion-formers and media.
- Reputation audits. We speak informally and discreetly to selected decision-makers and opinion-formers, to help our clients understand how they are perceived by key audiences.
- Drafting. We write speeches, speaking notes, presentations, letters, and articles for our clients for a variety of audiences, occasions and outlets.
- Intelligence. We monitor and interpret legislative, regulatory or policy developments that may affect our clients' business.
- Select Committees. We help our clients prepare thoroughly for appearances before select committees.
